The customer required a simple but effective method of obtaining 120ºF water to mix with food ingredients. The product recipe and formulation did not allow addition to moisture content. Consequently, steam injection could not be considered.
Pick’s PCD division met the customer’s demand by packaging a vertically mounted shell-and-tube heat exchanger. A complete package with steam control valve, electronic temperature controller, RTD and flow switch was engineered for the customer. The system was neatly packaged on a 68”H x 60”L x 30”W floor frame.
